In this article, you will find three distinct methods for changing your WordPress password.

METHOD 1: THROUGH SOFTACULOUS

STEP 1: Log in to cPanel.

There are three methods to log into your cPanel.

  • Method 1: Log in to your cPanel directly.
  • Method 2: Log in to your cPanel through your Customer Portal.

  • Click on "Log in to cPanel".

  • Method 3: Log in using the details sent to your Email.

Through your Email;

  • When you purchase a hosting plan, your cPanel login details (including username, password, and cPanel URL) are automatically sent to your registered email address. Simply check your inbox (or spam folder), locate the email, and use the provided credentials to access your cPanel.

STEP 2: Select the WordPress Manager by Softaculous in the Software section.

STEP 3: Locate Installations, and click on Manage Users.

STEP 4: Select the admin username and password for the user you wish to change and click 'Save' to update the password.

METHOD 2: THROUGH THE LINK FOR FORGOT PASSWORD

STEP 1: Proceed to your WordPress login page.

STEP 2: Click ‘Lost your password?’ below the login form.

STEP 3: Enter the email address or username associated with the account you are attempting to access.

STEP 4: To have the password reset email sent to that username's email, click ‘Reset Password’.

METHOD 3: THROUGH phpMyAdmin

STEP 1: Log in to cPanel.

STEP 2: In the Database section, click on phpMyAdmin.

STEP 3: Select the WordPress database from the panel on the left, then search for and select wp_users.

STEP 4: Click the ‘Edit or Pencil Symbol’ for the admin whose password you want to reset.

STEP 5: Clear the value in the box on the user_pass row.

STEP 6: Change it to the password you like. Next, choose MD5 from the dropdown menu.

STEP 7: Click ‘GO’ after scrolling down.
